Three years at Negus gold mines, Yellowknife.

AVAILABLE TO VIEW AT GIANT MINE OVERSIGHT BOARD OFFICE, YELLOWKNIFE

The year of 1947 through 1948, and the year 1949, those years were a proving of the area in the immediate Yellowknife district. Giant was becoming a producing mine, Consolidated was carrying on and Negus, quietly, and without much advertising, was doubling its capacity, modernizing its equipment, and was into its second five million of production. Surely we are proud of Negus as a rich mine keeping its record of getting ore averaging about .8 ounces to the ton.
